4 Steps To Brewing The Perfect Clever Dripper
The Clever Dripper is one of the easiest brew methods out there, offering the benefits of pour over and French press brewing without the drawbacks of either.
The Clever Coffee Dripper is ideal for those who enjoy full-bodied coffees that maintain a high level of flavor clarity.
It's an easy brew method. This is achieved through the Clever’s conical build (like a pour over) and by retaining the water and coffee grounds within the brew chamber (in the style of a French press) until the draining valve is activated. This allows you to have full immersion and still utilize a filter to catch any sediment
WHAT YOU NEED
- Clever Dripper
- ‘Filtropa’ Size 4 Filters
- 340g of Water just off the Boil
- 22g of Medium-Coarse Ground Coffee
- Carafe or Mug
- Spoon
STEP 1
Prewet your filter in the dripper & grind your coffee.
STEP 2
Place the coffee into the brewer. “Bloom” using 50g of the water for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, add 290g of water.
STEP 3
After 1 minute and 30 seconds, give the slurry a stir.
STEP 4
At 2 minutes and 15 seconds, place the dripper on top of the carafe to release the tap. The drawdown should take 3 minutes to complete.
