Finca el Gobiado is a family-owned operation located near the town of Concepcion de Ataco in the Llamatepec mountain range within the department of Ahuachapan, El Salvador. The state was founded in the middle of the 19th century when Antonio José Alfaro acquired a plot of land near the village of Ataco (meaning “Site of Elevated Springs” in the Nahuatl language). His son Agustin Alfaro, followed his father’s footsteps and established El Carmen as one of El Salvador’s leading exporters. His efforts were continued by Antonio Alfaro, head of the third generation. Since 2020 we are importing coffees from finca el Gobiado.

What is the SCA scale?

The SCA scale is like the coffee world's treasure map! It rates coffee from 1 to 100, and if your brew hits 80+, it's a true gem (a specialty). But remember, it's not just about the numbers, it's about the adventure – taste the story and support the farmers! 🌟
