Easy to use, this pressurized brewing technique brews very strong coffee.
It’s strong enough to sip on lightly like espresso, enjoy with steamed milk, or cut with hot water for a bigger, less intense drink.

1. 3 Cup Moka Pot
2. 19g of Medium to Fine Ground Coffee
3. 300ml of Hot Water
4. Weighing Scales
5. Kettle
6. Gas or Electric Hob

The Moka Pot is a classic brewing method with strong Italian roots. Patented in 1933 by inventor Luigi De Ponti for Alfonso Bialetti, the Moka Pot has spent over three quarters of a century as one of the most recognizable at-home coffee solutions (especially in Europe).

Step 1

Add the hot water to the bottom chamber of the moka pot. Add the filter basket, then add the ground coffee and level it out.

Step 2

Screw on the top chamber of the moka pot. Be careful; use a towel when you are doing this as the moka pot is very hot.

Step 3

Place the pot on a stove set to a medium heat. Remove the pot once you can see the coffee becoming very clear coming from the spout.

Step 4

Run the pot under cold water to stop the brewing process

Step 5

Serve and enjoy!
